We leave in exactly five days. It feels strange after I have been talking and planning this trip for so long and now it is actually happening. The nerves are just now setting in as I realize that I will be living out of my car/backpack for six months as I go off on an adventure in an area that I know little about. Here's to learning!
My house is currently in a state of madness, with boxes, clothes and everything I call my life strewn about the floor. My goal was to have it all packed this evening. Man. We will see how that goes.
I felt weird not having any posts, so I had to add a little somethin' somethin' before I started my blogging on the road. It looks like we will be starting at a winery in Northern California, head to a small family farm in Ashland, Oregon have a few weeks to explore and wedding it up and then go to Colorado for a few weeks of farming. I'm crossing my fingers that a farm in New Mexico works out, and we will spend the first two weeks in September there, before we make our way back up the West coast to fly to Hawaii for October-December. whew.
it's going to be some trip.
